Blake Heinrich Interview

Mike Vogel of Monumental Network recently interviewed Blake Heinrich, the 5th round draft pick of the Caps. Heinrich is a bit of a tweener defenseman from Minnesota. He’s trying to model his game after the Wild’s Ryan Suter, so let’s hope that works out. The Caps could totally use the next Ryan Suter…

It’s interesting to hear how Heinrich found out he got drafted. Sitting with family and friends, he found out online before the news came across on television. Now, as any obsessed sports fan knows, this has been the case for awhile during league drafts. It’s just interesting to see how the Internet is at the forefront of all things news related these days, and television has been relegated to dispensable fluff pieces.

The highlight of this interview is definitely the way Vogel says “Monumental Nackwork,” or something to that effect, in the beginning of the video. It’s pretty funny. It’s all I got.

See for yourself.
