October, the first month of the season, a time for players to shake off the rust, and for fans to get back into the hockey groove. The Washington Capitals played their last game of the month on the 28th – a 3-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks. They unfortunately opened up the season in the same fashion – losing a barn burner to the Chicago Blackhawks, 6-4. October wasn’t all negative though, take Ovechkin, he is on fire – soon enough he will spark a fire under all the Caps player. Let’s take a look at some of the statistics from October, both the good and the bad. Hope you like numbers and interesting stats, here is….October By The Numbers.
