Riggo’s Rag

There has recently been a push to have the Redskins change their name to something less offensive to Native Americans.  President Obama has decided to step in as well.

The evaluation of some players begins as mandatory training camps are on their way.  What will David Amerson show the coaching staff with his abilities at cornerback? Is he the answer at the number 1 spot?

A strong defense is a brag-able offense.  The Redskins defense is looking for their strength to come with their linebacker crew.

The Redskins tied for 21st spot with sacks last year total 36 for the year.  The defensive line is looking to improve on that stat and move up in the ranks.

The Nationals snapped a 4 game losing streak on the back of Tanner Roark.

Gio Gonzalez comes back off of injury and doesn’t win his first game back but he didn’t lose either.  Nationals Sweep Astros.

After tearing a ligament in his thumb, Bryce Harper is swinging the bat and making small steps to his return.

When a player can bat anywhere in the lineup, it allows for flexibility with what the manager can do.  Jayson Werth is that type of player, but he has had the ‘Honor’ of batting third for most of the season.
