The NHL released the order for all seven rounds for the upcoming NHL Draft. The Washington Capitals are coming away with 9 picks in 7 rounds. The Capitals do come away with a pick in every round and 2 in the 4th and 7th.

Round 7, 192nd overall (from Nashville)
Round 7, 194th overall
Here are some selections that the Caps have made in the same spots they are drafting this year; Alexander Semin in 2002 at the 13th spot. In 1996 the Caps selected goalie David Weninger with the 74th pick. With the 118th pick, the Captials have selected three players in their history; 2005 defenseman Patrick McNeill, 2002 right winger Petr Dvorak, and 1998 defenseman Mike Siklenka. At the 164th pick, the Capitals took Frank Joo in 1984. With the 192nd and 194th overall picks, the Capitals have picked 5 players in these spots over the years. Defensemen David Johansson (1999) and Mark Sorenson (1988) fell into the 192nd slot and Chris Valentine (1981) Tony Camazzola (1980) and Juha Nurmi (1982) fell into the 194th overall pick.
