Washington Capitals Clicks: Paul Bissonnette, Alex Ovechkin

Happy Thursday Everyone! Here are your daily links for the Washington Capitals.

Bruce Boudreau was seen at Pittsburgh Steelers camp on Monday and also made an appearance at The Garden’s Ice House in Laurel to guest coach at Craig Laughlin‘s Network Hockey Camp.  Boudreau is a former head coach of the Washington Capitals and current coach for the Anaheim Ducks.  Toting Ducks gear he asked a predominantly Capitals fan base if there were any Ducks fans there.  [Washington Post]

Paul Bissonnsttee took the ALS challenge to the next level yesterday and today, the Washington Capitals are still eying on Bissonnette.  Bissonnette was with the Phoenix Coyotes for the past 5 years and would look to be on the 4th line as the Capitals enforcer if signed.  It is actually reported that the Capitals and Bissonnette are close to a deal.  Waiting games are always fun.  [The Fourth period]

Peter Bondra was and is considered to be one of the Capitals greats, as he should be.  He holds records in many franchise category to include goals (472) and points (825).  It has been 10 years since Bondra’s departure from the Nation’s Capital after a 14 year stint with the Capitals.  Where is Peter Bondra now and what is he up to? [Comcast Sports]

To keep the ALS challenge in full swing and providing awareness to others, Alex Ovechkin took the plunge yesterday as well.  Ovechkin didn’t go over the top and take the plunge on a mountain, but he did donate as well and he challenge Eminem and Malkin Boborovsky Radulov. Nice Job Ovi! [Washington Post]
