EA Sports is set to release the new NHL game of the year. NHL 15 is set to come out on September 9th, 2014 two days before the rookie camps open.

NHL 15 promotes many new features for the game. Lets take a look at some of these improvements.

The first change to the game is the 12 Player NHL Collision Physics.

For the first time in any sports game, real-world physics affects every player through every on-ice collision with the new 12 Player NHL ® Collision Physics. Utilizing the power of the next generation consoles, and building off the critically-acclaimed NHL Collision Physics system, every player on the ice is governed by physics at all times. Feel the hard-hitting chaos of NHL hockey through true-to-life secondary collisions, net scrambles and player pileups, capturing the desperation of every shift.

EA Sports has also advanced the puck features to the game.  Real Puck Physics comes to NHL 15.  With a completely rebuilt puck physics, the real nature and actions that players experience with the puck on the ice are now brought to you through your gaming console and to your big screen.  You get to experience the realistic feel of a puck through your controller.

EA Sports has upgraded the authentic feeling of the players and their gear.  With Authentic Player and Equipment models, the “next generation player has been built from the ice up”.

The Next Generation Hockey Player has been rebuilt from the ice up. Now player models have three distinct layers – the body, equipment, and jersey. Each layer interacts independently, making every contact with the puck or other players even more realistic. Dynamic Cloth technology adds an extra layer of realism as it reacts to the player’s movement as they explode up the ice, helping bring the speed of the game to life.

The player likeness is also something that has been improved upon.  With their likeness to include skating ability and form, as well as their facial expressions when a goal is scored along with in game emotions, this player likeness is unprecedented.

Another aspect to NHL 15 is the realistic feel for all the arenas.  Details from each arena have been captured and replicated to give you a feel as if you were at the arena watching the game.  With the Next-Gen Console, lighting, player entrances and the tunnels are exact matches.  The feel is like no other.  Jump into your seat, grab your controller, and play away like you were really there.  Home, Sweet, Home.
