Washington Capitals Upcoming Schedule

As we begin to slowly close out August and move closer to the start of hockey, lets take a look at what we have in front of us before the regular season begins. 

In 18 days, camps will begin to open.  The Washington Capitals will open their rookie camp on September 11th.  With their main camp to open on September 18th.  Just a couple of days after that we will see the first of eight preseason games on September 21st with the Captials to face off against the Buffalo Sabres.  September 21st is a Sunday.  The game will be played at the Verizon Center and is schedule for an early evening start; 5 pm.  The Capitals will also face off against the Sabres in October during the preseason, which will take place in Buffalo.  This will be held on Oct 1st, a Wednesday and will be a 7 pm start.

The Captials will also see the Flyers, Bruins, Hurricanes and Canadians during the preseason with the Capitals facing the Flyers and Bruins twice as well.

With 5 of the 8 preseason games to come at the end of September, the Capitals will have 3 more preseason games in October before the first game of the regular season which will be held on October 9th, 2014 against the Montreal Canadians.

The opening game against the Canadians will be a home game for the Captials.  Game time is at 7 pm.
