The Washington Capitals pulled out a victory at home Wednesday night over the Boston Bruins and remained at the top of both the Eastern Conference and the entire NHL. Alex Ovechkin played a big role in Wednesday’s win.

Before the game, it was announced that center Evgeny Kuznetsov was named the league’s First Star of January.
