Capitals at Bruins: Date, Time, TV, Streaming, More

The Washington Capitals will look to redeem themselves tonight when they head to Boston to take on the Bruins.

Last night the Washington Capitals 13-game point streak came to an end at the hands of the Montreal Canadiens in a 5-2 defeat.

Tonight’s matchup features both top teams in the Eastern Conference. The Capitals (14-3-4) and Bruins (12-3-4) both come in with three regulation losses. While the Capitals come in with a loss the Boston Bruins are coming off a win last night 4-2 over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Washington made a late push in the third period Friday night getting goals from Alex Ovechkin and Evgeny Kuznetsov but it wouldn’t be enough. After Ovechkin’s hit on Jonathan Drouin in the second period, the Canadiens answered with a four spot in the second to take command of the game.

Following the loss, the Capitals sent Tyler Lewington and Ilya Samsonov (Friday’s starting netminder) to the Hershey Bears and called up forward Travis Boyd and netminder Vitek Vanecek. The Capitals went with 11 forwards on Friday with the upper body injuries to Nic Dowd and Carl Hagelin.
