#2 Devan Dubnyk

Devan Dubnyk is another goalie on the market that the Caps could add. He’s a three time all star, getting selected in 2016, 17, and 19. He’s in the middle of a rough season with the San Jose Sharks. He had a chance to become a starter but was unable to lock down the job losing out to Martin Jones for the number one goalie.

Dubnyk was a member of the Minnesota Wild from 2014-2020. He has playoff experience but he hasn’t won a game beyond the first round. Right now though, he is in the middle of a dreadful season.

Dubnyk is 3-9-2 with a 3.18 goals against average and a .898 save percentage. He has also dropped his last three games. Overall he has played in 537 career games and is 250-204-54 with a lifetime goals against average of 2.60 and a .914 save percentage.

The question here is now that we profiled two goalies, which Caps netminder is the team willing to move on from. Vitek Vanecek leads all rookies in wins. Ilya Samsonov missed some time but has been dominant since his return to the ice. And what about Henrik Lundqvist? Is there a possibility he’ll be available later in the season?

We promise this next player isn’t a goalie.
