One player that earned a final spot on this All Star Game lineup was none other than Washington Capitals right winger T.J. Oshie.

For T.J. Oshie of the Washington Capitals, he gets a taste of nostalgia as he heads to his old city to represent the team for the NHL All Star Game in St. Louis. The game itself will be played at Enterprise Center on Saturday night and feature a skills competition the night before.

This is Oshie’s first time ever in the All Star Game. He’s third on the Capitals in goals with 18, along with 16 assists for 34 points. Oshie leads the Capitals with 13 points in the final 10 minutes of contests including three clutch tying goals with an extra skater in two minutes or less in regulation.

Oshie leads the Capitals with 12 goals at Capital One Arena this season and is second behind Alex Ovechkiinn in power play goals with seven.

Oshie was drafted in 2005 in the first round at 24th overall by the St. Louis Blues. He had 14 goals his first season and recorded his first 21-goal season the same year he was a hero on Team USA in the Winter Olympics in 2013-14.

Now he’s on the NHL’s biggest stage.
