Yesterday we broke down the October schedule for the Washington Capitals. Today we’ll take a look at the month of November. We’ll look at each game, tell you the best matchup and give you a way too early prediction.

The Caps open the month of November on the second half of a back to back. The night before on Halloween the Caps are at the Carolina Hurricanes. They finish the back to back at home against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Two nights later they head to Detroit to take on the Red Wings. After that they’re back home for a season long four game homestand. It starts with the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday the 5th.

On the 7th Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers come to town. It’ll be my birthday and you’re all invited to Capital One Arena that night to celebrate.

On the 9th they play Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins. On the 11th they’ll begin a home and home series with the Tampa Bay Lightning that concludes on the 13th. On the 15th they’ll take on the Florida Panthers for the first time since the first round of last year’s playoffs.

On the 17th they’ll conclude their road trip against the St. Louis Blues. On the 19th they’re back home against the defending Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche.

On Thanksgiving Eve they’ll host the Philadelphia Flyers while on Black Friday they’ll host the new look Calgary Flames that just signed Nazem Kadri. The next day they’re at the New Jersey Devils.

The month of November concludes on the 29th when they’ll take on the Vancouver Canucks on the road.

As far as games to look forward to in the month of November keep that four game homestand in mind. Three of those four are big ones against the Oilers, Penguins and Lightning.

Of course the Florida Panthers on the 15th and the Black Friday matchup with the Flames are also games you need to watch.

Now it’s time for predictions. Caps win against the Golden Knights, Red Wings, Coyotes and the Oilers in a high scoring affair. They’ll fall to the Penguins and split the home and home series with the Lightning.

I don’t see the Caps beating the Panthers on the road but I see them bouncing back against the Blues, Avalanche and Flyers. They’ll fall to the Flames in overtime but bounce back the next night against the Devils. Then they’ll beat the Canucks.

So doing the match the Caps will go 10-3-1. That’s pretty good for November and could put the Caps in a good spot in the Metropolitan Division. By the end of November, Tom Wilson could even be back.
