Golden Knights vs. Capitals: Date, Time, Betting Odds, Streaming, More

After falling to the Carolina Hurricanes in a shootout, the Washington Capitals have a quick turnaround where they’ll play on home ice tonight against the Vegas Golden Knights.

In that game against the Hurricanes last night Dylan Strome and Alex Ovechkin provided the goals. Darcy Kuemper made 33 saves.

Because Kuemper made the start last night, expect backup goalie Charlie Lindgren to get the nod tonight. He’s been pretty good as he makes his third start of the season. He’s 1-1-0 with a 3.09 goals against average and a .925 save percentage.

Last season the Capitals dropped both games to the Vegas Golden Knights which included a 1-0 shutout at home and an overtime defeat on the road.

The Golden Knights present a tough matchup for the banged up Capitals as they’re 8-2-0 and coming off a 2-1 overtime win against the Winnipeg Jets. Bruce Cassidy, who used to coach the Caps and the Boston Bruins, is now their bench boss.
