Picks 6-10

Mandatory Credit: Ed Mulholland-USA TODAY Sports

6. New Jersey Devils

player. 85. I love Matthew Barzal, but I love Zacha just a little bit more. The Devils need to get stronger down the middle. I’m not 100% sure if Barzal will stick at center. I’m quite sure that Zacha will stick there and be the elite playmaker that the Devils have lacked since the departure of <strong><a href=. Center. Sarnia (OHL). Pavel Zacha. 6

Last pick: Mathew Barzal

7. Philadelphia Flyers

Lawson Crouse. 7. player. 68. I keep going back and forth between Provorov and Crouse here. I think Crouse’s potential and size will make him too tempting for the Flyers to pass up on. Crouse reminds me a lot of <strong><a href=. Left Wing. Kingston (OHL)

Last pick: Ivan Provorov

8. Columbus Blue Jackets

Last pick: Zach Werenski

9. San Jose Sharks

player. 120. The Sharks need to start looking to the future. Barzal was a borderline top five talent before a broken knee cap sidelined him for a good part of last season. Barzal could play at centre or on the wing. I don’t know if his size is good enough to stick at centre full-time but at worst, he should be a great wing. Excellent playmaker.. Center. Seattle (WHL). Mathew Barzal. 9

Last pick: Zacha

10. Colorado Avalanche

103. Yes, I know the Colorado Avalanche claim that they probably aren’t going to draft a defenseman with the tenth overall pick. However, I think they should be open to the idea and I would love to see them stick to their guns when someone like Werenski is sitting there waiting to be taken. They could also select whichever of the big forwards (Zacha and Rantanen) are left.. Defense. Michigan (NCAA). Zach Werenski. 10. player

Last pick: Crouse
