Here’s how you can watch and live stream Game 1 of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs between the Washington Capitals and Toronto Maple Leafs.
On Thursday April 13, the Washington Capitals and Toronto Maple Leafs begin their first round series. The former enters the postseason after having the best record in the NHL while the latter is back in the playoffs for the first time since the 2012-13 season.
The Caps scored the third most goals in the league and allowed the fewest. Conversely, the Maple Leafs allowed the eight most while still finishing in the top 10 in goals for. Toronto, already at a defensive disadvantage, will be without rookie defenseman Nikita Zaitsev in Game 1. They will, however, be getting Frederik Andersen back in goal. He left Saturday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins following getting hit by Tom Sestito.

Washington will most likely be getting defenseman John Carlson back. While Barry Trotz did not confirm or deny his spot in the lineup, he was skating with usual partner Karl Alzner during Wednesday’s practice.
The Capitals will look to put the Maple Leafs behind the eight ball immediately. Meanwhile, Toronto will hope to put even more pressure on Washington by upsetting them at home to start eh series.
