The Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins square off once again in the second round of the 2017 Stanley Cup playoffs. Here’s a complete television schedule.

If the Washington Capitals are going to win the Stanley Cup, it will be extremely difficult. First, they had to dispatch the deadly Toronto Maple Leafs. The Leafs are a team that might remind the Caps of their Rock The Red days, playing fast and fun hockey. Marcus Johansson’s Game 6 overtime winner put them to rest. Now the Caps’ march to the Stanley Cup leads them to their toughest adversary. Washington will have to exorcise their largest playoff demon when they face the Pittsburgh Penguins in the second round.

It figures the Caps will have to go through them to win the Stanley Cup. This is the third time Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby will do battle in the postseason. The latter has come out on top the first two times, but as they say, the third time’s a charm. Here’s the full television schedule.

The Washington Capitals will have home ice advantage. This could prove to be an important factor in the series. Pittsburgh has an impressive home record of 34-6-4 between the regular season and postseason. They’ve been far more vulnerable on the road, where they have a combined 20-16-7 record. In 2017, the Penguins have an 11-9-4 record away from their home.
