Washington Capitals vs. Penguins live stream Game 6: Watch online
The Washington Capitals look to avoid elimination against the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 6 on Monday. Here’s how you can watch online via live stream.
Down 3-1 to the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Washington Capitals entered the third period of Game 5 with a 2-1 deficit. With the season on the line, Nicklas Backstrom, Evgeny Kuznetsov and Alex Ovechkin stepped up with huge goals in the final 20 minutes to extend their postseason run with a 4-2 win. Now they face another must win scenario in Game 6 in Pittsburgh on Monday. This game will be held at PPG Paints Arena.
The Washington Capitals hope to build off their final 20 minutes in Game 5. It was arguably their most dominant period of the series. They’re looking to overcome a 3-1 deficit for the third time in franchise history and for the first time since the first round of the 2008-09 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Should the Caps complete the comeback, it will be the first time they’ve done it against the Penguins.

On the other side of the ice, the Pens have to be a little bit worried. They won Game 4 without Sidney Crosby, but even getting him back in Game 5 wasn’t enough to eliminate the Capitals. The Caps have eased some of the pressure on themselves and transferred it over to the Pens, who are looking to end the series at home. A Game 7 in Washington is not something they’d like to have any part in.
