Washington Capitals Release Regular Season Schedule For 2017-18

The Washington Capitals now know their full schedule for the 2017-18 season. Check out the full schedule and highlights! 

It’s like Christmas in June around the NHL. Just a few weeks after the offseason has officially begun, fans already know their team’s schedule. The Washington Capitals are no different. Even after another disappointing second round exit, the Caps are primed to have another exciting season next year.

They will open their season on October 5 when they face the Ottawa Senators on the road. It has become a bit of a tradition for Washington to host games on certain holidays, most notably Veteran’s Day, Black Friday and Super Bowl Sunday. This will continue next season.

The schedule will feature 14 games on back to back evenings, which is roughly par for the course relative to the rest of the league. Weekend games highlight the schedule, with 21 home games falling on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
