Left wing: Steve Konowalchuk 2000-01

Center: Jeff Halpern 2000-01

Right wing: Bobby Gould 1986-87

Steve Konowalchuk was drafted 58th overall in the third round by the Capitals in 1991. Despite being the Capitals fifth selection of that draft, Konowalchuk was the first of that class to make it to the NHL. Konowalchuk had an offensive touch and a defensive mindset that helped Washington on the penalty kill. This was the season before he was a co-captain with Brendan Witt which was his best offensive season. Konowalchuk posted a career-high 24 goals and 47 points, along with 23 assists.

The fourth line is the first and only line we’ve used teammates from the same season on a line together. Jeff Halpern is a success story in itself as a DMV homegrown talent, born in Potomac, Maryland. The undrafted free agent signed with the Capitals in 1999 and his second season was his best. Halpern posted a career-high 21 goals and 21 assists.

Bobby Gould bounced around between the NHL and AHL in the beginning of his career but finally got full time NHL action while playing for Washington in 1981-82. He spent seven seasons with the Capitals and graduallly trended upward with his best season coming in 1986-87 with a career-high 50 points (23 goals, 27 assists).
