Washington Capitals National Anthem singer Caleb Green and his group the Voices of Service have captivated the entire country.
Washington Capitals fans are spoiled when it comes to game entertainment. We have awesome PA announcers, in-game promotions, Unleash the Fury as well as two awesome National Anthem singers in Caleb Green and Bob McDonald that set the scene before each home game at Capital One Arena.
On Wednesday night the Green and his group Voices of Service performed in night two of the America’s Got Talent finale with a little bit of help from Billy Ray Cyrus, ending their remarkable summer run.
Even though they fell short in winning the ultimate grand prize of one million dollars, the Voices of Services succeeded in inspiring America through their story and their music. In the end, that’s how you ultimately come out on top.
Their mission is to raise awareness and provide hope and encouragement to veterans that are struggling with mental health challenges including post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Billy Ray Cyrus joined the Voices of Service veterans on stage for a rousing performance of “Some Gave All”.
In night one of the season finale, the Voices of Service’s final performance before America voted was “Footprints in the Sand” by Leona Lewis. It began with each member of the group reading letters from those that were inspired from their run in America’s Got Talent. Judge Gabrielle Union said, “Performance perfection. You are instruments of healing and you are beyond this stage.”
Other songs the Voices of Service have performed in their remarkable summer run on America’s Got Talent include “Choke” by One Republic, “Fire” by Gavin DeGraw, “See you again”, and “Rise” by Katy Perry.
We can’t wait to see Caleb Green back at Capital One Arena. There is no doubt Washington Capitals fans will greet him with a rousing ovation after the way he and his group the Voices of Service inspired our country. We can’t wait to shout red in unison for the part “And the rockets red glare”. The crowd from Baltimore is excited to shout the “O”.
What Caleb Green and the Voices of Service did for our veterans and for our country was remind us who the real heroes are. It’s not those that set foot on the ice or those comic book cape wearers we read about. It’s those that protect our freedoms on a daily basis.
