After a day off the Washington Capitals are back at it for one more home game before a west coast road trip.

Will this be the night Alex Ovechkin reaches 700 goals? The Washington Capitals superstar will be on the world stage with the game broadcasted on both NBC Sports Washington and NBCSN.

Duh there’s more players than Ovechkin and they will be mentioned here. There’s not much to talk about from their last game against the Philadelphia Flyers other than it was a 7-2 dud with only T.J. Oshie and Evgeny Kuznetsov scoring. Martin Fehervary did get his first NHL point though so that was pretty cool.

The Flyers did a good job holding the Capitals attack off and striking and taking advantage of their defensive miscues. It was clear they came out angry after their 5-0 shutout to the New Jersey Devils.

Now the Capitals turn their attention to the Barry Trotz Cup with their former bench boss in the building. The Capitals have won two out of the three games and this is the fourth and final meeting of the season.

So besides Ovechkin, who we’ll talk about because he’s the man of the night, who else should we watch?
