#3 How I Met Your Mother

This is my favorite sitcom of all time. The series is about Ted Mosby in search for his forever love while he tells his kids the story of how he met their mother. Those poor kids, it was a long story.

We also meet his friends Marshall and Lily as well as ladies man Barney Stinson. We also meet Robin Scherbatsky, a reporter from Canada, who loves her hockey! We find that we relate to Robin in the show with her love for the game. There’s several hockey references throughout the show when it comes to Canada.

In Robin’s early life, her father was disappointed in that he wanted a son. The dad named her Robin Charles Scherbatsky Jr. and Robin mentions that she was treated like she was a dog.

Robin has a wealthy family and you have to have a lot of money to buy hockey equipment. Robin would join the Pee Wee hockey team in her youth but when she got caught kissing a teammate, the father decared that he “had no son”. Poor Robin.

We learn in one episode that she’s a big fan of the Vancouver Canucks and even has a jersey.
