Washington Capitals hockey is just around the corner.

Boy does it feel good to type that. The Washington Capitals and the NHL will return to our TVs on Jan. 13th. It will be an exciting season with a ton of storylines and with those storylines come questions that we will see answered as we watch the events unfold.

The NHL is targeting a 56 game season that will run until before the Olympics. It is likely most teams are going to do no fans to begin the season. At least, that’s what the Caps are doing. Knowing this, here is our top 3 questions for 2021.

#3 Can Evgeny Kuznetsov return to 2018 form?

One of the hottest questions facing the Capitals is their center position. Can Evgeny Kuznetsov bounce back from two inconsistent seasons in a row and tap into some all star potential? The Caps will go as far as Kuzy takes them as he is likely to center the top line.

Last season Kuznetsov scored 19 goals which was a drop off from 21 the previous year? Can he go back into the 20’s and perhaps even get to the high 20’s? We shall see if the second best Russian star behind Alex Ovechkin can get going.
