#1 Dominate the puck possession

The Caps will need to generate offense which will be tough without Ovechkin and Kuznetsov. To make matters worse they’re coming off a two game losing streak in two games that they could have and should have won.

Their best offensive game came on the first night of the seaosn when the team scored six goals. Luckily that came against the Buffalo Sabres who they will face tonight.

The Caps will face a challenge without two top six forwards and a top pairing defensemen as well as their starting netminder. A key to getting a win over the Sabres besides scoring more goals than them is to control the puck possession.

For the Caps to step up they’ll be looking to top six forwards like T.J. Oshie, Nicklas Backstrom, and Jakub Vrana as well as Tom Wilson to help shoulder the load. Newcomers like Daniel Sprong could also be a threat with their speed.
