The Washington Capitals will take on the Buffalo Sabres tonight for the fifth time this season. Washington is 3-0-1 against the Sabres. The Caps snapped a four game losing streak with a win in Pittsburgh on Tuesday night over the Penguins.

This game is the first of a five game homestand for the boys in red. The Caps were home for a stretch of six games earlier in the season where they went 4-1-1 and split two games with the Sabres while winning both games in Buffalo to begin the season.

The Caps were supposed to play the Sabres last week for a two game series in Buffalo but COVID-19 on the Sabres forced the games to be postponed. Their last meeting resulted in the Sabres winning in a shootout. Here are the top 3 ways the Caps can get the W.

The Caps played their most impressive game of the season on Tuesday night. They’ll have to do it again if they want a win tonight. The Caps dominated from start to finish. Their offense was impressive, especially the third line, and the defense held off the Pens attack. That defense allowed Vitek Vanecek to have 26 saves to bounce back.
