Tom Wilson of the Washington Capitals recently partnered with Clyde’s to create his own burger. Inspired by the Caps forward, the exclusive menu featured four burgers and three sides. Last night we were lucky enough to try one of the burgers.

Please note that you can only get the burger through carryout or delivery, you can’t get it while you dine in. But I was able to figure it out and order the burger for pickup through Uber Eats. It was priced fair with a portion of the sales going to DC Central Kitchen, so you’re basically getting a delicious burger for a good cause.

Tom Wilson said in a press release:

"“It was fun working with Chef Stephen Lyons and the Clyde’s team to incorporate some unique flavours. To be able to stress quality ingredients like their locally ground beef and working with local artisans such as Maryland’s FireFly Farms was important to me as well. I hope fans enjoy it as much as I do!”"

The burger I ordered was The 43 Burger which is an option where you can create your own. The meat came from Cedar River Farms and you could get to choose the cheese and toppings atop a sesame seed bun. I got mine with American cheese, bacon and carmalized onions. I can confirm it was the best burger I ever had, in my totally unbiased opinion.

On a scale of 1-10 I would instantly give it a 10 if I can’t give it a 11. From the very first bite I could taste the beef and the juice and it was as if heaven entered my mouth. Tom Wilson knows what’s up when it comes to burgers and this is the best thing a Caps payer has done with food since Ovi O’s came out last season.

There are other burger options too. The Willy’s Way burger is made the way Tom Wilson himself likes it. I’m not a big mushroom person, so that’s why I went with the 43 burger option but if I get the chance to try a burger again, I’d definitely give the Willy’s Way a try.

The Willy’s Way has Cedar River Farms locally ground chuck, truffle aioli, cremini mushroom spread, and truffle cheese atop a sesame seed bun, it is described as just the way Tom eats it.

There is also the Bacon Blue burger and the Kimchi Burger as well as a Mixed Greens salad as well as sides of french fries or tater tots. You can order the 43 burger here and see more pictures of the burger on Instagram.
