vs. Boston Bruins

The Caps will wrap up the regular season against the Boston Bruins in what could be a potential first round preview. The Caps are 3-4-0 against the Bruins this season and their games so far have been entertaining.

The Caps won the first meeting 4-3 in overtime. Backstrom, Trevor van Riemsdyk, and Richard Panik all scored for the Caps in regulation while Ovechkin won the game in overtime.

The Caps dropped the rematch two nights later 5-3 in a game that saw them blow a 3-0 lead. They would bounce back on March 3 beating the Bruins 2-1 in the shootout. Lars Eller scored for the Caps in regulation while Jakub Vrana was successful in the shootout.

Two nights later the Caps would lose 5-1 and then on April 8th lost 4-2 on home ice. With the Bruins banged up on April 11, the Caps got an impressive 8-1 win. Oshie (twice), Eller (twice), Sheary (twice), and Dowd all scored for the Caps.

Unfortunately, it was a much different and fully healthy Bruins team when they met again in Boston a week later. The Bruins got a 6-3 win in that game.
