#1 Alex Ovechkin

Alex Ovechkin has 51 points in 48 career games against the Senators with 31 goals and 20 assists including 11 points in his last 10 games with eight goals and three assists and three straight multi point efforts in his most recent three games played with four goals and two assists. No active player in the NHL has more goals against the Senators than Ovechkin.

After recording a goal and an assist on Saturday against the Calgary Flames, Ovechkin is now five assists shy of 600 for his career. He would become the ninth active player to reach the 600 assist mark. Among active players with 600 assists, Ovechkin has 249 more goals than the highest goal scorer among the group (Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins with 486 goals).

Ovechkin has 10 points through five games with five goals and five assists which leads the Capitals in the goal scoring and point category while tied with Kuzy for the team lead in assists. He ranks third in the NHL through games played Oct. 23.

Ovechkin is the only player in the NHL with a five on five goal, a power play goal, a shorthanded goal, and an empty net goal this season. He is seven goals shy of passing Brett Hull for the fourth most goals in NHL history.
