The Washington Capitals have earned a point in four straight games and they’ll look to make it five and end their three game Canada road trip on a high note with a win over Bruce Boudreau and the Vancouver Canucks.
The Caps nearly won as Ilya Samsonov kept them in the game and the Caps were able to get at least a point as they forced overtime the other night against the Edmonton Oilers. Nicklas Backstrom notched his 1,000th career point with a goal and an assist. T.J. Oshie had two goals.
The Caps will look to avenge a Jan. 16 loss to the Canucks that was a 4-2 final. This marks the first time the Capitals have visited Vancouver since Oct. 25, 2019, a 6-5 comeback shootout win. The Capitals have won four of their last five games at Rogers Arena.

The Canucks have been red hot since the hiring of Bruce Boudreau as they look to sneak into the playoffs. They’re currently in the fourth Wild Card spot with a 29-23-6 record for 64 points. They’ve won three in a row.
