Alex Ovechkin (day to day, upper body injury) is OUT tonight against the Rangers. It’s the third straight game the great eight has missed. Nicklas Backstrom is also out due to body maintenance. Ilya Samsonov will be in net tonight. Ovechkin skated this morning and had another good day but wasn’t quite ready.
