Breaking down the 2022 Capitals Training Camp roster

Washington Capitals hockey is finally back. Well, sort of. But the season is upon us and on Tuesday afternoon the Caps announced their complete training camp roster. The first session starts Thursday and all practices are free and open to the public at MedStar Capitals Iceplex.

The camp will include 42 forwards, 20 defensemen, and six goalies broken up into three squads. Their schedules will vary. As far as Thursday goes Group A will be doing an on ice testing and off ice workout from 9:45 a.m.-11. Group B is up from 11:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Group C is up from 12:30-1:45.

As of this writing there isn’t a complete training camp schedule but I’m sure the Caps will release that tomorrow. Players will be getting their physicals and doing photoshoots tomorrow as the rink will be closed to the public and media but on Thursday the rink opens for us all and we get our first look at the 2022-23 Washington Capitals.
