The Washington Capitals embark on a back to back road trip beginning tonight at 7:30 p.m. against the Detroit Red Wings. They’ll conclude the road portion of the preseason tomorrow night at the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Tonight’s game isn’t going to be televised but apparently you can watch a live stream of the game on WashCaps.com. You can listen on Capitals Radio 24/7 as well as the TEAM 980.
The lineup tonight looks less like a Hershey Bears lineup and more like a Washington Capitals lineup. We’ll even see Alex Ovechkin.

After an overtime loss from the Buffalo Sabres, the Caps rebounded on Wednesday night against the Philadelphia Flyers in a 3-1 win. The effort was led by Dylan Strome who had two goals and an extra one in the practice shootout. Connor Brown added a goal of his own.
The two newest guys had the most impact on the win which is exactly what the Caps are hoping for in the regular season with no Nicklas Backstrom or Tom Wilson.
Obviously you can’t replace those guys and there’s some big shoes to fill but both have the potential to elevate their careers to the best of their abilities.
Anyway I hope they go through with the online web stream because we’ve all been waiting to see these guys in action.
