There’s a buzz around D.C. with the upcoming launch of the new Washington Capitals Reverse Retro jersey. To celebrate the team announced today details surrounding a Rock the Retro Concert sponsored by FTX at the 9:30 club. Tickets are available now via TicketMaster and the date is on Nov. 21.
The concert will be headlined 90s tribute band White Ford Bronco. It will celebrate the recently revealed Black Reverse Retro jersey that is inspired by the Capitals 1995 jersey.
Tickets will cost 25 dollars and include a free Reverse Retro tee shirt that can be redeemed at the concert. Fans are encouraged to wear 90s inspired outfits and retro ear to the show.
Doors will open at 7 p.m. and select Capitals players will be in attendance while the show will be hosted by Elliot Segal from Elliot in the Morning on D.C 101.
The 9:30 club is located at 9th and V Streets and is the intimate place bands aspire to play and that music fans love to attend. It is 42 years old and it’s a destination for both locals and people across the country. It is also the most attended club in it’s size in the world.
Many legends have graced the stage including Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton, Al Green, Willie Nelson, and James Brown. Other performers have included recently discovered acts like the Lizzo and Billie Eilish and arena acts looking for an intimate club to play such as Adele, Foo Fighters, Pink, Justin Timberlake, the Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day and Fall Out Boy.
The 9:30 Club has won multiple Top Club awards from Billboard, Rolling Stone, and Pollstar.
White Ford Bronco, D.C.’s All 90s band is described as equal parts raucous wedding reception, the last night of a holiday weekend in Dewey Beach and a dance party to a throwback radio playlist.
