Avalanche vs. Capitals: Date, Time, Betting Odds, Streaming, More

Tonight the Washington Capitals host their annual Hockey Fights Cancer night for their game against the Colorado Avalanche.

T.J. Oshie and Nicklas Backstrom practiced at morning skate today at MedStar Capitals Iceplex in blue non contact sweaters. It was Backstrom’s first practice with the team and the Caps don’t anticipate him practicing tomorrow. Oshie is still out indefinitely but if all goes well today he could practice tomorrow.

Darcy Kuemper was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate and is the expected starter in net against his former team.

Tonight is the first of two meetings between the teams this season. The Capitals have a record of 47-32-9-1 all time against the Avalanche and are 8-2-0 in their last 10 games against Colorado. They also won three straight games.
