Washington Capitals vs. New Jersey Devils: Date, Time, Betting Odds, Streaming, More
The Washington Capitals embark on a long road trip after winning two straight games on home ice. Their first stop on the trip is New Jersey where they take on the red hot first place Devils.
Capitals defenseman Dmitry Orlov, who’s still on injured reserve with a lower body injury, didn’t ravel with the team to New Jersey. He’s getting checked out in D.C.
There’s a possibility he joins the team on this road trip which spans six games in 12 games including tonight but it’s unclear at the moment.
Nicklas Backstrom (hip) and Tom Wilson (ACL) also did not travel with the team.
This six game road trip is a season long. The Capitals defeated the Devils in their last matchup 6-3 on Oct. 24 at The Rock, with goals scored from six different players including four in the second period.
Washington has earned at least one point in 12 straight games against New Jersey, going 11-0-1 in that stretch. It’s their longest active point streak against a single opponent, via NHL Stats.
