The Washington Capitals take on the Seattle Kraken in the third game of their season long six game road trip. It is the first of two meetings between the teams this season. So far the Caps are 1-1-0 on their road trip.
Last season the Caps split the season series with the Kraken going 1-1-0 resulting in losing the first game on the road and winning the second one on home ice.
In their first ever meeting with the Kraken the Caps fell 5-2 at Climate Pledge Arena. In their second game they won 5-2 at home on March 5.
Alex Ovechkin and Tom Wilson led the Caps with four points against the Kraken last season with each scoring two goals and two assists.
The Caps defeated the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night 5-1 as Ovechkin scored his 402nd and 403rd road career goals which moved him past Wayne Gretzky for the most road goals in NHL history.
