The Washington Capitals embark on a back to back to begin the weekend tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets on the road. Tomorrow night they’ll return home to host the Nashville Predators.
Although Nicklas Backstrom (hip) and Tom Wilson (ACL) are making significant process in their recoveries, neither will make the trip tonight but that doesn’t mean their season debuts won’t be soon.
Nic Dowd also didn’t make the trip to Columbus. His wife, Paige, just gave birth yesterday to Ruby which is the couple’s second child. Congrats to the Dowd’s!
