Alex Ovechkin will be representing the Washington Capitals at the 2023 NHL All Star Game in Florida. Let’s get his Russian buddy Evgeny Kuznetsov into the All Star Game as well!

To vote for Kuznetsov to the NHL All Star Game, click here. You can also vote on Twitter between January 12-14 by tweeting Evgeny Kuznetsov along with the hashtag #NHLAllStarVote.

Kuznetsov has six goals and 30 assists for 36 points in 43 games this season primarily centering the top line while spending some time on the second line.

Kuznetsov’s advanced stats are decent. Per Natural Stat Trick, his Corsi For percentage is at 50.58 percent, his Expected Goals For percentage at 47.18 percent and his High Danger Chances For percentage at 44.30 percent.

If we vote Kuznetsov into the All Star Game, it would be his third appearance. He last played in the All Star Game in 2016 and last year. The Metropolitan Division won the All Star Game last year.

If Kuznetsov gets voted in, he wouldn’t necessarily be the biggest star on the ice. But off the ice during the media day scrums, he will be a favorite among hockey media especially those who can deal with a sense of humor.

Although six goals isn’t quite impressive, it’s his 30 assists that you can really write home about. His 30 assists lead the team.

Up until the the last three games, Kuznetsov was producing at least one or more points a game. In seven games before their game against the Nashville Predators last Friday, Kuznetsov had 11 points and nine of those were assists while the other two were goals.

More. Alex Ovechkin rightfully makes the NHL All-Star Game. light

Kuznetsov’s last goal came on Dec. 29 in an overtime loss to the Ottawa Senators. Here’s hoping he breaks out soon and in turn begins to accumulate a lot of votes, at least enough to get him down to the Sunshine State with Ovechkin.
