After a thrilling overtime win over the New York Islanders that saw the Washington Capitals overcome a 3-0 deficit, the Caps are back in action with a home game tonight against the Minnesota Wild.

Tonight is the first of two meetings between the teams this season. They’ll complete the season series on March 19 in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Caps are 15-10-0-2 all time against the Wild and 9-2-1 in their last 12 games against them dating back to the 2014-15 season.

Last season the Caps dropped the season series to the Wild 0-1-1. Alex Ovechkin (two assists) and Evgeny Kuznetsov (one goal, one assist) led the Capitals with two points against the Wild last season.

The comeback last night started with Garnet Hathaway and Tom Wilson then T.J. Oshie tied it up in the third as Dmitry Orlov won the game in overtime. After Darcy Kuemper got the start last night look for Charlie Lindgren to get the nod in net tonight.
