Capitals vs Rangers Best Predictions
1. Capitals Win
The Capitals’ defense is struggling mightily, giving up an average of four goals per game during this six-game skid. This represents a perfect opportunity to fix things on the backend though, as New York has just four goals total in its last three contests.
Washington blanked the Rangers 4-0 earlier this season, and I expect a similar strong performance in this matchup.
The Rangers were just blown out 4-1 by Detroit as road favorites. With New York looking out of sync in this three-game losing streak, expect the Capitals to deliver as home underdogs and get back on track.
2. Less Than Four Total Goals
The total for this game is set at six, but I’d take a look at an alternate under because I don’t see any chance this turns into a high-scoring affair.
In each of the last three matchups between these teams, the under hit. It’s 7-2-2 in Washington’s last 11 games and hit in each of New York’s last three during the losing streak.
With neither offense inspiring much confidence, look at alternate totals at big odds to increase your payday.
