Washington Capitals vs. Tampa Bay Lightning: Date, Time, Betting Odds, Streaming, More
The Washington Capitals will look to bounce back from last night’s shootout loss when they take on the Tampa Bay Lightning down in the Sunshine State.
In the shootout loss the Caps got a goal from Conor Sheary and a sick shootout goal from Evgeny Kuznetsov but it wasn’t enough to overcome the New York Islanders, who seem to be locks for that first wild card spot.
Tonight is the third and final meeting between the Caps and the Bolts this season. The Caps defeated the Bolts 5-1 at Capital One Arena on Nov. 11 led by a three point performance from Sonny Milano and a 28 save effort from Darcy Kuemper.
The Lightning defeated the Capitals 6-3 two days later on Nov. 13 in Tampa. That evened the season series heading into tonight’s game. The Capitals have a record of 84-35-6-11 all time against the Lightning and are 6-2-2 in their last 10 games against them dating back to March 20, 2019.
