Islanders vs. Capitals: Date, Time, Betting Odds, Streaming, More
The Washington Capitals host the New York Islanders tonight in the third to last game of the season. The Caps have earned at least a point in all three previous matchups with the Isles, going 2-0-1.
The Caps rallied from a three goal deficit to defeat the Islanders 4-3 in overtime on Jan. 16, marking their latest comeback win of the season. On March 11, the Capitals scored five unanswered goals en route to a 5-1 win on Long Island. The Isles defeated the Caps in Washington on March 29 at Capital One Arena and the Caps have been losing ever since.
Today the Caps recalled Joe Snively from the Hershey Bears. At morning skate neither Alex Ovechkin nor T.J. Oshie were on the ice. Anthony Mantha skated in a no contact jersey. Trevor van Riemsdyk was also out there in a no contact jersey.

Darcy Kuemper will get the start in goal tonight. Per coach Peter Laviolette, Oshie is now shut down for the remainder of the season. Which will make for a very fun night of tanking.
To recap, the #Caps tonight vs. the NYI figure to be without Ovechkin, Oshie, Mantha, TvR and Dowd, who also did not skate this morning. That means WSH will have 17 skaters again. Man, cap issues on top of everything else seems to be only way this season could end.
