With Charlie Lindgren hurting his hand in Tuesday’s Capitals loss to the Boston Bruins, the team signed goalie Reid Cooper to an ATO to back up Darcy Kuemper tonight. He played at Robert Morris and Curry and was even a teammate of Caps prospect Clay Stevenson in the BCHL.
Alex Ovechkin was on the ice for morning skate so he looks like he’s back in the lineup after missing the last three games with an upper body injury.

The Capitals are 1-1-1 against the Devils this season. The Devils beat the Caps 3-2 in a shootout in their last meeting on March 9 in D.C. The Devils could play either the Florida Panthers or New York Rangers in the first round.
