The 2023 NHL Draft presented by Upper Deck will be held at Bridgestone Arena with Round 1 on Wednesday night and Rounds 2-7 on Thursday morning.
Not surprisingly if you are planning a last minute trip to Nashville it’ll cost a lot of money to be in the building to see Connor Bedard go to the Chicago Blackhawks and the Washington Capitals hopefully draft Matvei Michkov.
To do these metrics I am doing just one ticket. I am doing top ticket marketplaces across the web that still have tickets available to the event.
The setup of the arena is behind one goal is the stage so no seats available there just around it. The upper deck (300 level) and the middle deck (200) level are general admission.
Per Stub Hub, a seat in the 200 level is $310. The best selling section is the 300 level where the price is $360. That’s probably where all the fan groups are and it’s general admission so you can sit with whoever fans you want just a guess.
Now if you wanna sit in the lower deck or 100 level by the kids about to go on stage and put on the jersey of their future, that’s about $450. Now this is day one.
What about day 2?
Oh it’s way cheaper so you’re better off doing that if you want to just be around the arena on day one. Tickets for Rounds 2-7 which begin Thursday morning start at four bucks. The most expensive? Section 104 for just $134.
So the most expensive ticket on day two of the draft doesn’t even touch the cheapest draft ticket price on day one.
I then checked Ticketmaster. Sold out there for day one. You can get in the building for day two on the general admission 300 level for as much as it costs to attend a high school game in Loudoun County, seven bucks.
For this exercise I’ll do one more ticket site. Let’s see what Seat Geek has. That’s your best best. Cheapest option there is $289 for day one for 300 GA.
Here’s the crazy deal there. Just $313 for the lower level. You’re welcome. Row D too. Just three bucks for day two and then most expensive that day is $141.
