The NHL Draft is an exciting time for hockey fans and teens getting ready to realize their childhood dreams. It all begins on Wednesday night. In this article we’ll show you how to stream it whether you have cable or not.

We will start with those who do not have cable. Now this is a little tricky because as always you should make sure wherever you’re streaming the draft from is legal. Best place to look is the official NHL Subreddit over here https://www.reddit.com/r/nhl/.

Round 1 will be broadcasted on ESPN and you can stream it online or on your favorite devices on ESPN plus. Rounds 2-7 on Thursday will air on NHL Network.

A good streaming option is fubo.tv which is doing a free seven day trial special for this year’s draft. You can sign up through the link here and you can stream the draft on your phone, laptop, tablet, and TV.

That’s the cheapest option. Another option is $9.99 a month for ESPN plus which if you keep the subscription into the NHL season includes most out of market hockey games. Definitely worth it.

So in addition to the eighth pick the Caps will own the 40th pick in the 2nd round, 104th in the 4th round, 136th in the 5th round, and 200th in the 7th round.

A lot of folks think the Caps are going to draft Matvei Michkov including Mike G. Morreale of NHL.com:

"Washington can afford to make a splash here and the 18-year-old, compared by some to Minnesota Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov, would qualify. He had 20 points (nine goals, 11 assists) in 30 games on loan to Sochi of the KHL and offers great acceleration, puck handling skills and confidence reminiscent of Bedard. With three more seasons left on his KHL contract, patience will be needed, but the payoff for the Capitals could be tremendous."

The question is will the Caps keep their eighth spot or are they willing to trade up to ensure they can have Michkov? It’ll be interesting to find out on Wednesday night. Happy streaming.
