Riley Sutter and Chase Priskie are on waivers. For a refresher course, teams have 24 hours to claim either player. If nobody claims them, they head to the Hershey Bears to join those fellow players listed above them.
Sutter had five goals and seven assists for 12 points with the Bears in the regular season. In their Calder Cup run he added six points with two goals and four assists.
ISS Hockey said this back in 2017 about Sutter, “Power forward, plays a hard and tough game, can produce more this year, looks faster and quicker.”
Chase Priskie is a journey man and this summer he returned to the organization that drafted him back in 2016 in the sixth round. He had 22 points total in the AHL last year with 11 goals and 11 assists. He started out with the Rochester Americans before finishing the season with the San Diego Gulls.
With 35 players now on the training camp roster for the Capitals, there’s 12 more cuts to go. There’s also three more preseason games left. Things are about to get really interesting this week.
