The Caps lines at morning skate:
Per Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post, Caps coach Spencer Carbery is unsure if Rasmus Sandin will play tonight. She noted that Hardy Haman Aktell and Lucas Johansen took a lengthy scratches skate with Charlie Lindgren. While Lindgren has improved from the upper body injury, Carbery said he will not dress tonight.
This is the first of two meetings between the teams this season. They’ll meet again on Jan. 23rd in St. Paul. The Caps are 15-12-0-2 all time against Minnesota and 9-5-1 in their last 15 games against the Wild dating back to the 2014-15 season.
The Caps dropped both games to the Wild last season.
