The Thanksgiving themed Washington Capitals articles keep coming. Before we break down who want at our Thanksgiving table let’s have a little bit of fun with some rivals. At least two of these guys are rivals. Another one I wanted to include as there is no place for bullying in the NHL or any level of hockey for that matter.

But let’s start with the obvious one first:

#3 Sidney Crosby

You knew Sidney Crosby was going to make this list. A little bit of a disclaimer here. I used to dislike Crosby so much growing up as a Caps fan. Now with several seasons under my belt blogging about the Caps my hatred of Crosby turned into respect for Crosby.

Now that doesn’t mean I respect him in all areas. There are still incidents when I scratch my head like when he took his hockey stick and hit a player in the family jewels. Complaining to the refs is another thing. But when Crosby plays a clean game, I respect him. It’ll be boring when he and Alex Ovechkin retire.

But as older as Crosby has gotten there he still has a tendency to complain. Early in his career his complaining was on full display in the dueling hat tricks game. Maybe he wouldn’t have whined so much if he was going to get a hat trick himself.
