Edmonton Oilers vs. Washington Capitals: Date, Time, Betting Odds, Streaming, More
The Washington Capitals are red hot. On this Black Friday they’ll host an Edmonton Oilers team that many picked to win the Stanley Cup but since the puck dropped to start the season have started out cold. It’s a must win game by the Capitals nonetheless but it’s also an opponent that should not be taken lightly.
The Capitals currently sit at second place in the Metropolitan Division with a 10-4-2 record with 22 points. The Oilers are 5-12-1 with 11 points, sitting at seventh place aka second to last in the Pacific Division. The only team worse than them in that division is the San Jose Sharks.
As bad as the Oilers are they still have the two headed monster of Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid. Draisaitl has 23 points with six goals and 17 assists while McDavid has six goals and 10 assists for 16 points.
The Caps held a practice at MedStar Capitals Iceplex on Thanksgiving that was closed to the public. Martin Fehervary was a full participant in the practice, per Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post. Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery talks to the media at 12:45 p.m. today.
