The Washington Capitals have played two preseason games so far with varying results. As the team figures out where their new additions fit and which young players will make the Opening night roster, here are 5 things that stood out after games against the Bruins and Flyers

5. Andrew Cristall gets ejected

Andrew Cristall did not factor into the scoring after being ejected for a dangerous crosscheck to the throat of Flyers Hunter MacDonald. Cristall would probably have to be perfect in the preseason to make the roster with the Capitals depth the way it is. Getting a game misconduct in his first preseason game isn't going to help his chances of being in the lineup on October 3rd against Carolina.
